Eluthandweni Support And Information Centre:
In 2006 Nightingale Trust took the Eluthandweni Support and Information Centre (ESIC) under its umbrella. In addition to several fundraising programmes and applications, we provide a supervisory and administrative service. Eluthandweni means “place where we serve with love”, and this is the ideal of Nightingale Trust and its care givers.
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, our carers look after frail patients living in extremely poor and difficult circumstances. If necessary we provide food, assist in the application for ID documents, social grants and orthopaedic aids such as crutches, wheelchairs, etc. When the situation arises, the centre also assists AIDS orphans.
This service is exclusively financed by donations from congregations, organisations and friends.
